Tobias, thank you for working on this issue. What is needed to backport to 1.3?
Can you indicate which files changed? Also did you create a short example
within Spring? We earlier tried to go directly to Spring for this but some LDAP
code wouldn't resolve and it almost seemed like the version of Spring we were
using was non-functional with LDAP. Which Rev of Spring did you test with?
