I like the idea of using the ID this way. Something that has ID means that it was an instance of something else and something w/o id - it's only applies to what is there in the mediapackage (actually it is the only way to change series title for example because we can identify the series only by ID) I like this solution. However, Tobias why would you like to allow capture agent to overwrite series? Why would capture agent want to change title of a series? I am asking because there may be something I am not aware of.
