Hi,

What is "it"? After I have run a workflow that has successfully
published the media I want all of the intermediate files *gone*. I
understand that others might want to rerun new workflow operations on
older media packages but I don't. I'll reingest the file if I want to
run more workflow operations.

Can we keep this story in mind with whatever the outcome is? I want
cleanup to wipe everything but the published files, because my workers
are running with small disks attached, and our archive is outside of
this matterhorn process.

(and I don't care about archiving intermediate results, because I can
always rerun a workflow operation on my original data to get those
results again)

I thought the t-proposal was to remove the cleanup operation by
default, which is fine with me since we would just add it back in for
our case. But the r-proposal is unclear to me, who is keeping what
files around now?

(Ideally I would like the episode service to give me a big long list of
everything ingested and when I go to run a workflow it says something
like "intermediate files missing, pulling original media packages from
the archive" and then makes a service call to archive which hits my
tape system and retrieves the original capture agent data. But I'm not
in a position to write any of this stuff at the moment, so if this
isn't the intended mechanism then just having the episode service say
"Can't find intermediate files! Are you sure you configured Matterhorn
to save them?" that would be fine. And it could do this only if
cleanup is turned on, that would be fine too.)
