Ok, this was a fun one. Building a cluster of distributed VMs with this patch
applied yields 500 errors on any endpoint returning an EncodingProfileImpl
instance. Reverting this patch resolves the issue.
Let's discuss this at the dev meeting tomorrow, I'm not going to roll back just
yet since the RC is already cut. We'll decide on the right course of action
tomorrow.
