Hi all,

Further to this, each year the committer group elects one board member
to represent their concerns and maintain a strong relationship between
the Opencast Board and the product developers. This past year I have
had the privilege of holding that role.

The process of voting worked well last year, so it will be similar this
year. Nominations for the committer liaison board spot are open as of
now, and will be accepted until 8am Pacific on Monday, September 17th.
Only committers may nominate someone, and voting for this position takes
place using normal committer voting rules (1 committer, 1 vote). Please
send nominations to the private committers list
([email protected]), and hold off voting until the
election period begins on the 17th (1 week of voting for this spot).
Results of the voting period will be announced with the results of the
regular board election.

Also, committers who are interested in joining the election committee
are welcome. It requires only of tallying votes and casting a vote
only if there is a tie.

Regards,

Chris
