I see the point in including this functionality, especially in light of the
other tickets about similar issues. My problem, however, is that this came
after our second feature freeze, and we are right near the end of the 1.4
release cycle so testing this will be problematic. How do we know that this
will work as expected with different workflows, or missing parameters? It just
seems like we could run into a regression testing nightmare. If you can
generate solid unit tests for these components (there are currently none) I
suppose we can get them in as a one-time deal, but I don't want to set a
precedent that new features can be added out of feature-development cycles...
