Dear max-list people

I am having trouble getting linuxPPC running on my 'puter
and would appreciate any advice.

The hardware: an iMac G3-400 DV (5 flavours), 64 MB RAM, 10
Gbyte hard disc OS Z1 - 9.0 (completely bog standard).

The software: linuxPPC 2000.

I have partitioned the hard disc and installed linux as
directed. The problem is that I cannot get into linux unless
I boot off the CD. It seems that BootX won't work with OS9.
Does anyone with a setup like mine use yaboot /
OpenFirmware?

Thanks in advance

rdg
