If you're using vi, pull up the file and go down to the export PATH line.
If the cursor keys don't work, use j k h l to move around (j = down, k = up,
h = left, l = right). Position the cursor on (any) pound signs preceding
that line. Delete them by pressing the x key. When all the pound signs
preceding that line are removed, press : w q <RETURN> (that's colon
W Q and the return key). If you blow it at any point, press : q !
<RETURN> (colon Q exclamation-point return-key) and start over. vi isn't
very easy to explain, but I love it.
