Good, that worked! :)
OK, you've removed the # characters in front of the "export PATH" line.
You typed  :wq  to save the file & exit. You're back at the prompt.

Now, press Ctrl-D (hold the Control key & press D). That should get
you out of single-user mode & finish the booting process. You'll
probably see a bunch of messages, starting this & starting that,
but eventually things will settle down & there should be a  login:
prompt at the bottom of your screen. Unless things have changed
quite a bit recently, you shouldn't have to reboot.
