I've installed LinuxPPC on a 7300 & 9600, YDL 2.1 and Mandrake on a 9600. I had problems with the graphical install on YDL 2.1, so I tried again with the 'text' installer and it worked fine. Mandrake's graphical install was no problem, but I did choose all the installed packages explictly. I didn't run into any disk space problems. I always choose my own packages though, I hate combing thru the RPM database deleting packages after a 'recommended' install. But I know what the packages contain, and I know which ones I want and which ones I don't want.
