Get NetBSD, which recently hit version 1.6. Actually your 20MB RAM is not a bad start
for a small system. If you plan to routinely run X though you'll probably want to max
it out. I have a similar system that I'm planning an install on (just ordered my
NetBSD CD yesterday) which only has 8MB. However, I did buy a used 1.2GB hard drive.
I wouldn't try it with less than a 500MB drive, which you might even have lying around
yourself.

There's good material online regarding how to prepare your system for NetBSD. Read it
thoroughly, then read it again. :)
