I went back & had a look at the archives -- I assume this is the beige G3/300 you wrote about earlier, thus we can rule out the partitioning being the problem. It may well be a Jag problem; I've heard of people having problems getting Jag up on beige boxes. I'm running 10.1.5 on mine because I never got around to (attempting) the upgrade. Is XPF supposed to get around those problems? Looking at its webpage, it at least implies that it's for older Macs. You might want to have a look at this thread: http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20030506195854607 Even if the AV card is Apple-issue, you might have to remove it while installing & maybe you can put it back in after you get it going. (I'm using the stock G3 video & it's not that bad, but I don't play twitch games either.) Out of curiosity, is your G3's motherboard Rev A (Rage II graphics) or Rev B (Rage Pro)?
