NO GUI? I think I'll keep the PowerBook as is until I get a LOT more
experience. I thought that the G3 iMac might run Linux faster than it could
OSX. My plan was to upgrade to OS 9 and run a dual-boot with Yellow Dog or
?, hoping I would get around some of the compatability issues I have with
the original OS 8.5.1 still running on the machine. I'm thinking this would
be the way to squeeze the best performance out of it without a processor
upgrade to G4, which doesn't seem worth it to me, because of the lack of
connectivity on the old iMacs. Better off to get a newer machine if you want
G4 or higher.
