Hi. We are using SAP DB in our Projekt since like four weeks. Since the beginning we are having problems. After a while (about 2000-5000 data entries) the DB crashes and we dont know why, because it is everytime different. Even after a restart the javaprograms (JDBC) wont connect. Even the SQL Studio is not running the way it should be. So everytime the DB crashed this way we deletet SAP DB and installed it new. Today we looked at the SAPDB and saw that there is a logfile. There we saw all the transaction and the connection and disconnection. We also notice that if our DB crashes the SAP logfile says. logfile full. It is exactly 800k small. What can I do to prevent that in the future? Yes I want a logfile and it can be 100MB huge, we dont care. Or where can I shut it off if we dont need that log anymore?? We a re using SAB DB 7.4 under windows, starting as service.
Please dont give a short answer like: just set log off Please tell me where, or tell me where to get the info. I am a programmer and not a DBA. I need a DB that I install, i can run my programm and then give the customer who has a DBA for the DB.
