Yes, I did. I almost had it working but then got sidetracked.

The problem is, that the installation of the linux version on
FreeBSD is not straighforward. There really should be a port
doing all the neccesary footwork. (I have been considering
building one myself if I can find the time)

Even after getting it running, there is still the issue of
native client libraries. Without them the database itself is
mostly useless. There should be a port for those too.

I'll try to find some time to work with this again. I might
be needing some help though as I remember the build process
of the client libraries to be somewhat hairy even on linux.
