As someone who has used sapdb in production since shortly after it became open source, I am concerned about the way that Mysql has handled the transition and release of sapdb 7.5. No release notes, no information at all on what is different between 7.4 and 7.5. No nothing. This hasn't done
I'm afraid the blame for this has to be put mainly on us. We're still sorting out which of the features and changes are documented and which of the performance enhancements are actually faster. If you've been with us for a while, you'll remember that we've had the same kind of problems with 7.3 => 7.4. (which is an explanation, not an excuse :-)
