Mass inserts are a somewhat weaker point in the current version of
the ODBC driver. This will change with the new ODBC driver based
on SQLDBC (a C++ state-of-the-art interfaces for MaxDB) that
will be available during this year.

Selects should be much faster and are usually the more often
used kind of data transfer of client software.
