I tracked down the root exception that gets thrown. I just restarted the
database so it shouldnt be a system imposed limit ( although that was my
first guess as well ). Some additional info on the server. Its a dual
Intel Xeon 2.8 GHz with 3 GB RAM running service pack 4. Here is the error
message. '[SAP AG][SQLOD32 DLL][SAPDB]General error;-602 POS(1) System
error: KB Log error'
Any ideas?

my first guess would be that you've reached a system imposed limit of
memory/semaphores. Can you specify how the DB is configured (DATA_CACHE,
memory of the box etc.)
