I've been download and successfully install maxdb 7.5.0.8. and also have been successfully download and install maxdb-dbmgui. But when I try to create a new database instance its take along time, and finally my computer become not responding and i have to terminate the task. Iam using winXP run on athlon 1GHz with 256 MB memory. Any comments ?? or maybe something i've forgot ??
The data and log volumes are being formatted (= written to) during database creation. If you defined large volumes, then this will take some time. Due to the high activity of your disk, this could also block your PC as both swapping virtual memory or starting new programs also try to access the disk.
