Hello.
I'M trying to install MaxDB 7.5.00.23 on AIX 5.1 ML 07
output of 'oslevel -r' : 5100-07
I'm trying to install all components to the default locations.
During the verification step SDBINST tells me:
...
package PCR 7301 successfully checked
checking filesystem "/opt"... not enough free disk space
needed = 289570 kb
available = 59262 kb
installation exited abnormally at Th, Mar 10, 2005 at 08:24:00
Output of 'df -k' :
Filesystem 1024-blocks Free %Used Iused %Iused Mounted on
/dev/hd4 32768 19180 42% 1547 10% /
/dev/hd2 5013504 3654500 28% 29290 3% /usr
/dev/hd9var 262144 213960 19% 894 2% /var
/dev/hd3 32768 26000 21% 144 2% /tmp
/dev/hd1 32768 31652 4% 81 1% /home
/proc - - - - - /proc
/dev/hd10opt 655360 474100 28% 3087 2% /opt
Increasing the /opt filesystem by aproximately 150 MB resulted in about 20 MB
more free space showed by SDBINST.
What is SDBINST checking here? Can I force to install even if it thinks there
is not enough free space?
Many thanks in advance
Gerd Wetzel
