If 4 x 500 is a typo and you mean 4 x 50 (what would meet the 200 mentioned):

Do I understand right, that the machine has a single hard disk?

Maybe not so crucial for your described load process, but separating
data volumnes from log volumes is an important performance issue.

Another point is, only count the physical CPU cores for the MAXCPU parameter
of MaxDB.
