I'm trying to evaluate maxdb7.6 for a project here. I know very little
about MaxDB and I'm running into a problem that I believe is fixed at
7.6.12, but I can only find version 7.6.10 available for download.

I installed the RPM versions on my FedoraCore3 and FedoraCore4 systems.
Both behave oddly in both the WEB and CLI interfaces. I seem to get an
error about a shared space which may have something to do with a missing
shared library that was patched in 7.6.12? I found some reference in
all my searches but can't seem to put my finger on it now.

The web error when I try to bring a newly created db online (or hit
admin) is:

"-24832 ERR_SHMNOTAVAILABLE: Shared memory not available"

When using dbmcli I get the same error when I attempt "db_online".

>From my understanding there doesn't seem to be a way to upgrade the RPM
version via the SDBINST script. I'm downloading the SDBINST version
now. After removing the RPM version I will try to install that via
SDBINST, but I'm worried that it will be using version 7.6.10 as well.

How can I get a working 7.6 on a Fedore Core 3 or 4 system?

Any help greatly appreciated.
