Hi listmembers! During the installation of MaxDB 7.6.00.10 (Profile 'Server + Client' & 'Install Software and create database instance') on a windows-based computer, I got the dialogwindow 'Database configuration [Desktop PC / Laptop]' where I can decide to choose the option 'Load Tutorial Data'.
I thought this option will cause in the installation of the example-DB 'HOTELDB' but when the installation has finished, I have been surprised by the new DB-instance that contains nothing. So my question is: What does the option 'Load Tutorial Data'? And I've another question you might help me: I tried to get information what consequences the value for 'Database size' have, but I did not find anything helpfull in the documentation. As far as I understand it at the moment, this ist the maximum size the database can reach!? But what will happen then? What are the points I have to consider when choosing a value for this parameter? I know that I can customize this value later in der Database Manager, but I want it to know by myself although. Ist there a connection between the DB-Size and the size of the Log-volume? In case that this issue is discussed in the documentation or anywhere else in the WWW, please let me know where I can find it.
