Hi Stefano, try upgrading to 7.5.00.44. This release fixes a performance issue when doing many inserts/updates which involve LOBs. You should also check the system table DOMAIN.LOCK_HOLDERS while your transaction is running to see if it holding many locks. In that case it may be advisable to explicitly lock your table during your transaction.
