Yes, that will remove the errors you speak of but unfortunately not all of them.

As it happens, moving from djangorestframework -> rest_framework
within the code base is relatively simple,  I even had a pull request
against the code base a few days ago. I deleted it after reading the
dev guidelines on the Mayan site. But I got muddled up a bit and have
been chatting with Roberto and should have a solution soon.
Unfortunately, all this happened just before I went on holidays and am
not really in a position to re do the changes right now. Expect the
update in the early new year.

Of course, another solution is just to install the djangorestframework
older package from pip or code base., which is easy enough to do.
