Thanks a lot for your kind mail, John. You certainly have a point, and I have had similar experiences - though I have to admit that Mayan DMS offers the right platform (Django) and a sound set of capabilities, when compared to its competitors. Hence, it would be a real shame to let it go. Of course, the commercial competition inside the DMS domain is huge, and there is a lot of distraction noise around. At least I know by now, where we can find Mayan-EDMS nowadays (http://www.rtm-it.com/Home.php), and I have contacted the company to reveal their commitment to FLOSS, as a major (nationwide) deployment will depend on the same.
