Hmm, actually it looks like your instructions are fine. Maybe the OP
made a mistake in running the wrong setup.py script (there are a lot
of them!). In any case, a link to the GrabbingAndBuilding in the
"Installing MayaVi2" section might be helpful. BTW, aren't Python and
wxPython-2.6.x available on all distros? Why do you need to build
wxPython and Python? They are useful instructions but can be daunting
to some users maybe?
