OK. This is a very annoying problem that is due to the conflict between
the Debian packages and namespace packages. The good news is that in the
next release of Mayavi and the ETS, this will be fixed, as the ETS will
no longer be relying on namespace package. The bad news is that all the
import paths will change (the 'enthought' prefix will disappear:
enthought.mayavi.mlab -> mayavi.mlab).

The change has happen, but you also go the code that works with it :)
