Good show - bear in mind that some of his articles are a bit old, they
should all still work, but there may be some minor changes since they
were written - so check the recent documentation and ask on list if
you have any problems.

Superficial knowledge should be enough, the manual is available via
perldoc Template::Manual and very helpful - there is also a very quick
intro in the documentation for Maypole::View::TT that I added in
version 2.11.

Class::DBI is a very simple ORM that provides database persistence,
searching, etc for classes. You can find a couple of introduction
articles for CDBI at the wiki :
