Christian (and John Kubie), Christian I realize that this isn't necessarily your problem, but have either of you noticed problems using the QTGrabber plug-in in Windows 7 (32 or 64 bit versions)? Here is the configuration and symptoms that I am seeing:
Configuration: Win7/QuickTime 7.7.2/VDIG version 0.9.9 (or 1.0.5) Symptom: If I run the compiled QTGrabber application from a network drive (the current location for my /dev/ directory in Parallels) or from a USB flash drive, it runs perfectly. But if copy it to the "c:\" drive and run from there (like the installed application would be) the VDIG can not find the digitizer and throws a number of errors: "XXXXXX Device-WDM: SetFileName failed" and the like... Again, it runs perfectly fine from a network or flash drive (and in WinXP). I know that Win7 has all kinds of weird new "permissions" things going on, but I would expect the opposite thing to happen (i.e. NOT run from a network drive). This sounds like a problem with the QuickTime VDIG component, but I'm hoping that you could shed some light on what I should even look for. I'm likely going to post on the RealBasic NUG group as well to see if anyone there can offer any suggestions. Cheers. -bill k _______________________________________________ Mbsplugins_monkeybreadsoftware.info mailing list [email protected] https://ml01.ispgateway.de/mailman/listinfo/mbsplugins_monkeybreadsoftware.info
