*Position Title: Systems Engineer * *Location: Hartford, CT* *Duration:8 months* RESPONSIBILITIES: •Plan hardware/software installation for case management system •Configure and implement hardware/software installation •Coordinate with vendor; initiate vendor software •Performs preventative maintenance tasks to ensure reliable performance and recoverability of information technology systems and services. •Prepare for and conduct systems testing •Produce documentation •Participate on a project team Deliverables will include •Project monitoring and controls procedures •Weekly reports to management •Vendor questionnaires •Other deliverables as may be required EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: •BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field •10+ years of recent, relevant experience in systems support, analysis, operations and hardware/software troubleshooting •Demonstrated mastery of hardware and software virtualization, including advanced high-availability configurations, disaster recovery implementation and good knowledge of performance optimization. •Demonstrated knowledge of server hardware and hardware components, hardware troubleshooting and resolution. •Strong written and oral communications skills •Prior experience working in a legal or law-related environment is strongly preferred, as is familiarity with Law Base or a comparable case management system.
