technologies, working at the Powerhouse museum in Australia, will be presenting 
at Balboa Park in San Diego, CA at the end of this month. In collaboration with 
Balboa Park Online Collaborative and the Balboa Park Learning Institute, Seb is 
leading a series of presentations and workshops on Wednesday, March 30 and 
Thursday March 31 (descriptions below). We'd like to extend the invitation for

Seb Chan of the Powerhouse Museum in Australia returns to San Diego to lead 
this introductory presentation on how institutions can more efficiently analyze 
their website traffic and marketing effectiveness.  Participants will explore 
various methods to measure the success of online content, including the use of

Open Museums: Creating a Digital Commons with Seb Chan

Seb Chan, a social media guru in web 2.0 applications and web analytics, leads 
this discussion on the benefits of sharing data across institutions. Seb will 
showcase various projects he has led at the Powerhouse Museum to make 
collections accessible to the public. Joining him is Jed Sundwall, local 
Internet marketing consultant, who will discuss how Open San Diego is working 
to make data more accessible and useful to the public. Plus, the Online 
Collaborative will share their initial plans for an online library for students 
and teachers to access the digitized collections of 12 Balboa Park
