Dear MCN-L Subscribers: In February, MCN took a major step forward to improve our contact with members by migrating to a new web site architecture. The MCN-L listserv followed the web site to a new server where we expected it would continue to serve as the primary venue for museum information professionals to network with each other.
Unfortunately unforeseen technical problems forced the list offline after only a few months of operation in its new environment. We regret the inconvenience that MCN-L's absence may have caused and can assure you that we have worked hard with our service provider to restore MCN-L's functionality as quickly as possible. The new listserv architecture will not only allow us to resume our conversations, but offers web-based management of subscription options and a searchable archive of all list messages. In the next few weeks we look forward to sharing information about the 2006 Museum Computer Network Annual Conference, scheduled for Pasadena, CA and our ongoing collaboration with the the AAM Media & Technology Committee on the Musematic blog.
