I agree with Janice.. Filemaker would be the best. I have been using iTunes on Mac to for compressing MP3's to use in podcasts etc. Haven't yet tried to see if the MP3 would store in Filemaker, but I bet it would.. I have stored both sound and Quicktime clips in Mac just fine. I use Filemaker Developer with the Kiosk solution out in the galleries quite a bit.
