Janet,

A few years back the Pew Foundation funded the creation of EBase for  
non-profit groups.  It's aimed at social organization and non- 
profits.  Several small museums in the Philadelphia area used it  
successfully.   Ebase is free for non-profit use and based on  
Filemaker Pro.
