Hi Ariel, we have created online collection from Mimsy XG on two of our projects:
- The National Galleries of Scotland - www.nationalgalleries.org/collection - The Horniman Museum - www.horniman.ac.uk/collections In the first case, we used information extracted from Mimsy in CSV and wrote a bespoke piece of software to transform it into a web-friendly format that could be used from the Qi CMS (our own CMS) to create stories and narratives based on collection objects. For the Horminan, an Apache SOLR interface is instead used to search and browse the collection, again in conjunction with the Qi CMS to add richness and narrative to them. We did look at M?bius, which also uses an external database (like our NGS example), but the issue may be that it simply provides a catalogue for online publishing - fine if that is what you are after - and you'll still have to create a web interface to see the objects. http://www.selagodesign.com/library/mobius-tech-specs.pdf Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you'd like further information.
