Systems Administrator (2 Open Positions) - ACTIVELY ACCEPTING RESUMES This position will manage, support and implement information systems projects to augment, enhance and/or replace business systems and network infrastructure throughout the Museum. WORK SCHEDULE: Regular full time, 40 hrs/wk, Mon-Fri REPORTS TO: Director of Information & Interactive Technologies (IIT) Qualifications: *Bachelor's degree preferred. *3-5 years of experience required. *Project management and customer service skills to facilitate the planning and implementation of information systems projects. *Experience in non-profit, cultural, and/or attractions industries a plus. *Thorough knowledge of and experience with 3 or more of the following Museum core technology standards: -Microsoft Windows Active Directory -Microsoft SQL 2005/2008 or newer database administration -Microsoft Windows XP/7 or newer operating systems -TCP/IP networking and related protocol *Knowledge of and experience with 2 or more of the following Museum preferred technology standards: -Linux or UNIX operating systems -Enterprise Reporting (Crystal Reports/Enterprise, Microsoft Reporting Services) -E-Mail and Calendar platforms -Cisco IOS-based switches and routers -Web Proxy Filtering -Macintosh operating systems and networking experience a plus -Converged communications administration (Telephone & Call Center) -Cisco ASA firewalls and/or network security -Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards Database Administrator (DBA) - ACTIVELY ACCEPTING RESUMES The database administrator will oversee the Museum's array of databases and reporting. The DBA will create, maintain, and optimize a variety of databases serving both educational and business needs. Working with applications created in house and purchased applications, the DBA will be responsible for ensuring data is accessible, secure, and redundant. WORK SCHEDULE: Regular full time, 40 hrs/wk, Mon-Fri REPORTS TO: Director of Information & Interactive Technologies (IIT) Qualifications: *Bachelor's degree preferred. *5-10 years of experience required. *Impeccable interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers and co-workers. *Ability to craft creative technical solutions with minimal resources. *Strong understanding of personal knowledge limitations and ability to call in other expertise when needed. *Excellent 'computer side manner' when dealing with customers. *Ability to convey concepts in writing, verbally, and graphically. *Extensive experience designing, implementing, and maintaining large mission-critical databases. *Extensive experience with MS SQL Server. *Extensive experience with MySQL. *Experience with reporting tools including BI and Analytical tools. *Experience designing and maintaining databases in both a web and client server environment. *Proven knowledge of database design fundamentals and best practices. *Proven knowledge of database fundamentals including stored procedures, views, triggers, etc. *Ability to script database changes using SQL. *Proven knowledge of database administration best practices. *Experience with Crystal Reports, Microsoft Reporting Services, or other SQL reporting tools and environments. *Experience in non-profit, cultural, and/or attractions industries a plus.
