Clearly Maureen (see below) has the SIG contribution thing down to a
science....
The IP SIG wishes to raise the stakes! We need IP SIG members
(nonmembers too!) to donate items with licensed (or unlicensed) works
from museum collections to the IP SIG Silent Auction contribution.
Our theme is "Taking License," and we hope to get serious or humorous
contributions. So far we have contributions for:
Items from what seems to be a "breathe mint" series ??
Last Supper Breathe Mints
Before the Kiss Breathe Mints (this makes sense when you see
that the mints
are packed in a tin with Klimt's "The Kiss" on the front)
An Einstein E=MC2 mouse pad (with publicity rights cleared! ; )
Paraphanelia from the Elvis Inn in Jerusalem!
But we need more! Surely you've encountered museum reproductions on
dubious items. Consider donating it to a good cause. And we could,
of course use a tote bag to put all this stuff in (and help the lucky
winner carry it home...) Hint, hint....
Donations should be dropped off at the conference desk when you
register. Please mark the donation as "IP SIG" and we'll see that
it makes it into the bag, and that you get proper credit (or
notoriety....) for your contribution.
Thanks.
Diane
