Glenbow Museum is developing a multi media handheld guide to enhance and extend the visitor experience to Mavericks: An Incorrigible History of Alberta, Glenbow's permanent gallery on Alberta history. As a leading museum in the use of online technologies in Canada, Glenbow Museum is developing for the first time a pilot project to create a multi media handheld guide for the use of visitors. The guide will provide interactive content to support and elaborate on existing stories being told in the gallery. The experience will be multi layered and will provide visitors with the ability to interact with rich content at their own pace (including exploring content at home). The guide will provide Glenbow with the ability to gather basic data on visitor experience for future use and ensure accessibility by including closed captioning for all audio and video clips. We plan an immersive and dynamic user's experience, geared specifically to a youth and family public.
We welcome all interested vendors to submit their innovative proposals by September 22, 2006. The RFP is available on the Glenbow Museum website http://www.glenbow.org/about/contracts/ ___________________________________ Cherry Sham New Media Coordinator Tel: (403) 268-4132 Fax: (403) 265-9769 Email: csham at glenbow.org www.glenbow.org Glenbow Museum 103 - 9th Avenue SE Calgary, Alberta T2G 0P3
