---Please forgive any cross-postings.---

Dear Colleagues.

I am currently working with funding from the non-profit Artstor to conduct a
short survey on the current state of digital asset management "DAM" in museums.
The purpose of this research is two-fold; 1) to develop and share a profile of
DAM in museums today and; 2) to research the relevancy of Artstor's media
management software Shared Shelf program in relation to museum DAM needs.

The results of research survey will be shared with all participants who provide
their email addresses after completing the survey and will also be presented
during a session at the Museum Computer Network conference this Fall
(http://wired.ivvy.com/event/MCN13/agenda).

The survey contains between 15-22 questions (depending upon your responses), is
organized into 5 sections and should take under 15 minutes to complete.
Because of the somewhat ubiquitous nature of digital asset management, the
survey is targeted at anyone who shares any knowledge or ownership of the
process including librarians, visual resource specialists, photographers,
registrars, new media and publications managers, information technologists and
others. If you receive this invitation and feel there is someone better suited
to responding, please forward it to them.

The deadline for completing the survey is Friday, November 1st.
I would greatly appreciate your input and look forward to sharing the overall
findings with you.

The survey can be accessed at http://sandboxstudios.org/dams

Many thanks in advance,

Scott Sayre Ed.D.
