Hi Heather, I second what David said. We had the same issue with our gallery iPad and Kiosk Pro. The secure stand we purchased came wired with an aftermarket cord and it didn't keep the iPad's power, even when plugged in. On a whim we tried a "real" iPad charger and cord, and that solved our problem.
