Hi Heather, We had a similar charging issue with an ipad stand, apple issued charger and an aftermarket extension cable. We determined that it was in fact, the length of the cable that was the issue. When the station was in constant use, if the iPad was not fully charged to begin with, the apple chord + extension cable was not able to recharge the battery at the same rate that it was being used. We solved the problem by putting the kiosk to "sleep" at night to give the kiosk time to recharge fully.
