Dear Colleagues,
Pacific Asia Museum is pleased to announce its newest on-line education
module titled Visions of Enlightenment: Understanding the Art of Buddhism.
Conceptualized around masterworks of Buddhist art in the Museum's
collection, the module includes four narratives that weave the artworks
into the complex panopoly of Buddhist practice over the last 2,500
years. Included are animated maps, mini movies called "Photo Essays," an
informative blog forum and teacher curriculum materials for K-12 learners.
HTML versions of the Flash content found on the index page will be
especially useful to teachers for classroom use and to users with
text-only browsers. There's even a link to send us your comments.
So please, feel free to visit the site and pass it along to other
educators and museum professionals.
Go to http://www.pacificasiamuseum.org/buddhism/index.htm and have fun
exploring!
Cheers!
