We also use Brightsigns widely for media playback and even some interactives in exhibits, but find the interface for digital signage or for information that changes frequently a bit clunky. For that, we use Tightrope Carousel, which has a much better interface for scheduling bulletins, building templates and administering users. The system uses a server to feed multiple signs (we’re running virtually) and the signage players themselves actually run on Brightsigns now, but utilize the Carousel software, since Tightrope figured out that they couldn’t compete with Brightsign cost-wise building their own players. We’re pretty happy with it for signage.
