Greetings, The IIIF specifications allow for a data service to be registered that returns physical scale metadata for images which, in turn, can be used to render a ruler on-screen in order to convey image scale.
http://iiif.io/api/image/2.0/ http://iiif.io/api/annex/services/ I'm curious if anyone is embedding the physical dimensions of the subject of their photographs as metadata in the image and if so: 1. what metadata standard(s) are you using, and 2. is this practice part of your imaging workflow or done ad-hoc?
