Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to announce that the Getty Vocabularies OpenRefine Reconciliation Service is now available. Read about it here: http://www.getty.edu/research/tools/vocabularies/obtain/openrefine.html. As many of you know, OpenRefine is a standalone open source desktop application for data “wrangling,” including semi-automated data cleanup and transformation to other formats. The Getty Vocabulary Reconciliation Service allows users of OpenRefine to compare their local data to values in the Getty Vocabularies in order to map to them. For example, an internal artist list from a repository of art can be mapped to a corresponding set of Union List of Artist Names (ULAN) record identifiers. The service is available for AAT, ULAN, and TGN. Please direct any questions to vo...@getty.edu<mailto:%20vo...@getty.edu>.
