That might explain things in my case, eg. if Microdot is trying to
initialise the printer and not sending the correct string, this could
cause the printer to go into error and yet work prefectly on subsequent
printouts since the initialisation string would presumably only be
sent once. Possibly an explaination for resetting the font on some
printers??
