Glad it worked. I have no idea why my wife's acts that way and mine
doesn't. I've now got a CV64 for mine and am having it upgraded from
2 to 4 megs of ram, and am getting her an A3000, and will put the PII
in it. That should settle things if the problem goes away for her.
I suspect the lack of a gfx card, but can't prove it. Anyway the
single screen thing works, and I'm glad you're up and running again.
I gave my A1000 to my son (it had 2.5 megs of ram) and have always
regretted it. The problem was no passthrough on the memory board, so
fitting a HD would have been a problem unless the sidecar had an
expansion box, and neither my A590 nor my Dataflyer one did. My son
seldom uses it anymore, and with two new A3000's coming in (don't
ask, I only wanted one -- for the wife), I have no place to put it.
