| Can someone point me in the right Direction as to where I might find MiMH
| rechargeable batteries that I can use in my MZ-E40 player instead of
| spending $39.95 for the BP-DM20 from Sony... Thanks...
Probably any halfways decent electronics store. By that I mean a real
electronics store, like Radio Shack used to be, not the local Circuit City.
But you might luck out and find them at Circuit City and the like anyway.
| P.S. Can I charge any other batteries in the MZ-E40 other than NiMH?
Not unless the E40's specs say it can. Attempting to charge incompatible
batteries in the unit will -- not may, will -- cause massive overheating of
the cells. If you are fortunate, the worst that will happen is that the
life of the cells is seriously reduced ("memory" in modern rechargables is
actually wear due to overheating due to overcharging). If you are not so
fortunate, they will explode, damaging your unit... and because this kind
of damage is not covered by warranty... don't do it.
