I take it they are "active" negative-feedback noise reducing phones?
Rather than spend a few dozen dollars on phones, wouldn't it be better it
big cities spent some money on mass-transit systems-- up here we have
the Metro in Tyne & Wear (NE England). It isn't quiet but sure beats
sitting
on a bus for half an hour.
I admit all public transport will be noisy, but *you are not driving*! If
your
in-car whatnot is playing your fave disc, you will be distracted from
driving
your car. I've yet to see a bus or metro driver who listened to any extra
sounds other than instructions like "5 minute tailback over High Level
Bridge, suggest re-routing via Swing Bridge" from the control center.
